They don’t have to be imported. You can have one right now. And they taste better.
Just sayin’.

This is on my list of things to try some day. Based on Oreo vs Fried Oreo, I cannot imagine a deep fried Twinkie not being incredible

I’d only consume them in a post nuclear apocalypse world where it’s either a Twinkie or roasted rad roach meat. The preservatives in these things are probably meant for that scenario.

Imagine like gooey warm waffle. It’s kinda like that. But corn syrup instead of maple

LOL I’m biased because my mom would only buy Zingers when I was a kid for some reason.

I have. I expected it to be good but found it to be meh. I think it may have not been done as well as it could have been.

This is a defensible view point. But still wrong.

When I was a kid, my dad’s company picnics were at this big “farm” where it was really like, a company picnic place with pavilions, baseball fields, etc. They always had a dessert table for the kids of mass quantities of Twinkies and other such items. My parents were never ones to buy that kind of crap for us so I would eat about 10 Twinkies at every company picnic.

Every few years I’ll buy one just to see if they’re recaptured the magic. Sadly, no magic to report. They’ve changed a lot since I was a kid.

New year’s day? Twinkies have always been dear to me (before being corrupted by Big Preservative)

They have more of a honey taste now than I remember. I’m still glad they’re back though

When did they go away? The filling has changed over the years. Nothing like it used to be. I blame science.

There was a period a few years ago when the Hostess brand went belly up. Someone bought the rights and brought twinkies back.

Right. I forgot about the bankruptcy. Still, I wish they’d go back to the original recipe, kinda like Coke did once they realized their product sucked.

You know that before WWII, twinkies had a cream filling, but they switched to the fluff they have now because dairy became scarce in the war? I’d have liked to try those.
